Back from Amazing ARUBA

Well, we didn't know what to expect, how the kids would do, if we knew what to say to each other or how to act like adults with adult friends and guess what......WE DID! And we expected it would be awesome, but let us tell you, even better than we anticipated-it was AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC. And we came home realizing ONE very important thing. This is a must for all marriages. We have realized that we need to take time for ourselves as a couple. We love our kids more than life itself, but unless we have our couple time to be with friends and each other, we are stringing ourselves out to NO END. This has rejuvenated us and inspired us to make this a regular occurrence. Whether it is getting away for one night or a week, we know this will continue to strengthen our marriage and in turn pass it down to our kids. We had so much fun - I will post pics later. Thanks to those that were so great to encourage us. We love you.

Love, Trina and Robert

amusing the kids

Robert played guitar for Gracie's class yesterday...they loved it all. It was so cute. Gracie was extremely shy and wouldn't sing with him. You know it's very funny that she is so shy, considering her parents. And by the way, Cole is shy too!! what a mystery!
Afterwards the kids had fun chasing Robert and tackling him at recess....

happy weekend.

gracie and cole have bronchitis again. they are on antibiotics but we are going stir crazy so I took them out for haircuts and sandwiches and some picture taking. smiles! And yesterday was Dr. Suess Day at school.

funny story-finally cole and I turned his bedroom into a BIG BOY room. no more baby curtains, no more baby wall hangings, no more baby bed, you get the picture. so anyway he was so excited to show daddy and gracie his room, he could hardly stand it. Cars galore! gracie walked into the room smiling and very happy for cole. She walked all around checking out the place. the one and only thing she said was, "hmmmm." she walked up to his curtains and said very casually, "these are like jeans." and walked away. Of course Cole didn't care what she said-just that she saw it. It was quite funny.

still trying to get well..

after last week with Cole being so sick for 3 straight days-then we had 1 day break where everyone seemed well. then boom! Down came Gracie and I with it last Sunday flat on our backs. We are still trying to get better. This is the 2nd or 3rd time it has come through our family. It's a rough one. Finally tomorrow is Friday and we can all rest over the weekend-hopefully. I had planned to take them for haircuts and shoe shopping, but now we will be at the DR. for gracie as they suggested she come in for a re-check. But at least we are getting lots of snuggle time...

when we finally got some sun, I took the kids over to the park. You can see how much fun they had.
